Action

lately i have been thinking about the meaning of Action. People have gotten killed for NOT thinking before acting, conversely, people have gotten themselves messed up for NOT Acting while doing too much thinking...either ways are bad, the question is, how do we ever meet the balance?

For days, weeks, months and years i have driven passed the majestic mountains along the Malaysian N-S highways, i have always remained captivated by the views - extreme tranquility of vast land of trees, breathing, albeit silently, against the backdrop of the ever beautiful sky....

I heard a very good parable from a Palestinian brother 2 days ago: when human beings invent something, we invent it to derive a benefit or to fulfill a need, whereas, our Almighty Lord created everything and He has no need to be fulfilled from these creations, instead we are constantly in need of Him. Oh Allah swt, the Supreme, please forgive us for our ignorance!

my first dose of freedom!

when i first set foot on America, i noticed that the freedom of speech is really in practise there, like this bumper sticker here



i guess that's why the Americans are known for their bumper stickers, sometimes "at your face", sometimes outright funny or stupid, sometimes cynical. The funny thing is, i first saw this sticker more than 10 years ago and it is still relevant today!
